Three new public schools opened in Dayton on Tuesday, January 2 – Eastmont PreK-8, Meadowdale PreK-8 and Charity Adams Earley Girls Academy. More than 1,200 students transferred to these new schools following winter break and teachers spent much of their break getting their classrooms ready. Dayton movers handled getting the computers and other equipment to the classrooms. These new schools will now have 2/3 of students learning there, and many believe that the new classrooms, fresh environments and innovations in technology will improve student performance.
The last four schools in the district’s $627 million construction project will open for the next school year. Are you excited about the new public schools opening in your community?
